More Current Horses

Wynn
Wynn enjoyed many years as a successful show horse. Sadly, his rider was diagnosed with a medical condition preventing her from riding and caring for Wynn. He then passed through a few owners and eventually came to his current barn where the realization was quickly made that he would benefit from a more relaxed life. Now he occasionally goes on trail rides but mostly lives a life of leisure

Nina
Nina came from New Vocations, a program that helps retired racehorses find second careers. Originally intended for our lesson program, Nina began training but soon suffered an injury tht made it clear she would not stay sound enough for the job. Rather than push her, the decision was made to retire her early. Nearly a decade later Nina is happily living out her days in the pasture - content and thoroughly enjoying the quiet life.

Silver
When Silver first arrived it was clear that he had faced significant challenges. A tragic incident in his past—a kick to the face by a cow—had left part of his face paralyzed, creating a stark reminder of his earlier hardships. Initially, his seller had hoped to receive payment for Silver, but as the reality of his medical needs became apparent, they made the compassionate decision to entrust him to the farm. This act of kindness ensured that he would find a safe and loving home where he could begin to heal. He now flourishes and no longer is burdened by pain or fear.

Princess
Miniature horses like Princess require specialized care that differs from their larger counterparts. Due to their slower metabolism, minis need a carefully controlled diet to prevent obesity, which can lead to serious issues like laminitis. They also have unique dental challenges, as their small jaws often cause overcrowded or misaligned teeth, increasing the risk of eating difficulties and colic. Minis are particularly vulnerable to parasites, so consistent deworming is important. Hoof care remains a priority as well, though their smaller, more delicate hooves require an experienced farrier.

Blossom
Blossom is a sweet and sensitive mare who originally came to us after her previous owner was diagnosed with cancer. She was brought into the school program with the hope that she’d make a wonderful lesson horse—and she absolutely did. Though naturally a bit nervous, Blossom always shined under a confident, gentle rider. When she felt supported, her true beauty and talent came through effortlessly. Recently, Blossom has been facing some soundness issues, and she is currently in a careful rehab program. We’re giving her all the time, patience, and care she needs as she works her way back to feeling her best.
